Renaissance Summer Web sites 1997 - 2003
This is the first web site I ever designed, in 1997. How cute is this?
I finished this one in 1999. I was so excited because I used .dhtml for the first time for both the left nav and the faded images on the right. All those images are taken from Masaccio's St. Peter cycle on the walls of the Brancacci Chapel. (looks like I'm missing one of the left nav images, but you get the idea)
I finished this one in 2002, during my "over design-y" phase of Web design. I wonder if I could have gone for a color scheme even more difficult to read...
The very last iteration of the Renaissance Summer Web site, completed in 2003. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have center-aligned the content area, and I would have put some sort of background for the extra white space, but overall, I really liked this clean, cool design. I added some animated .gif rollovers and photo presentation on the front page, both of which made me happy.
OMG! SO cute!
I love that they're all so different. Was it just that they wanted a different look each year, or was it more that you just were all full of yay each time?
