microscopic organisms whose single cells have neither a membrane-bounded nucleus nor other membrane- bounded organelles like mitochondria and chloroplasts.
What are Bacteria?
all bacteria is prokaryotic cells.
There are three different types of structures of bacteria: *Cocci~ spherical*Bacilli~ rod-shaped*Spirilla~ curved walls
There are three types of bacteria:*Aerobic- they thrive in the presence of oxygen.*Anaerobic- they don't need oxygen to live; under water bacteria.*Facultative Anarobes- Perfer to live in oxygen, but can grow and live without it.
Bacteria are categorized as: *Heterotrophs- derive energy from breakin down complex organic compounds that they must take in from the environment.*Autotrophs- make their food source.
Humans- heterotrophs
Autotrophs- plants
(=Fun Facts=)
*Bacteria helps break down dead organic matter.
*Bacteria uses asexual reproduction
*It's an important part of our ecosystem
*Bacteria puts the tang in yogurt and the sour in sour dough bread.
*The oldest fossils known, nearly 3.5 billion years ago, were bacteria like organisms.
Did you know?
Some may believe that bacteria is harmful, causing diseases like food poisoning and the bubonic plague. But some bacteria are beneficial. For example, bacteria found in yogurt are very healthy and give yogurt its nutritional value.
*Bacteria was discovered by Anton van Leewenhoek in 1676. He referred to them as "animalcules."
*The study of bacteria is known as bacteriology.
Bibliograpghy
Bacteria can also be infected by viruses. A virus that infects bacteria is called a bacteriophage. The process works as follows.
Bacteria exist practically everywhere. There are some on you right now!
Bacteria was the first species to dominate the earth. The ancestors of bacteria were known as hyperthermophiles.
Some bacterial species are cocci, bacilli, vibrio, sprilla, and spirochaetes.

How do Bacteria reproduce?
Starts off as one cell..
begins to replicate..
replication complete.
Now it's two cells tring to break apart.
Two cells are formed.
When a bacteriophage enters a bacterium, the virus attaches to the surface of the cell and injects its genetic info into it. The viral genes act to produce many new bacteriophages, and they gradually destroy the bacterium. When the cell splits open, hundredsof new viruses burst out.

A lot of bacteria need the following elements in order to grow or reproduce;
-Food-Acidity-Warm temperature-Time-Oxygen-Moisture
Bacteria can be carried by food, water, soil, erosion, humans, and even insects.
It reproduces very quickly under "danger zone" temperatures
In humans, bad bacteria can cause diseases such as;-pneumonia-syphyilis-tetanus-tuberculosis & more
This is so cute! Nice job!
